Our Mission
We aim to build an “East meets West,” where friends can meet new friends and enjoy an experience where you can kick up your heels and enjoy the two full evenings of activities and events for the entire family.
Fun for the Entire Family
We also hope to build the appreciation of Celtic music, through up-and-coming entertainers, to the tried-and-true Celtic artists. This is a festival for young and old with classic rock, eastern artists, children's activities, thus a true family fun day.
Commitment to the Community
The East Coast Garden Party Association is strongly committed to local sports and non-profit organizations in the past years. Organizations that we have proudly supported include the Air Cadets, the 4-H Achievers, Nitehawk Ski Patrol, Parent and Pregnant Teens.
Our Festival
The East Coast Garden Party is a non-profit organization based in Grande Prairie, AB, working on our 11th year in Grande Prairie. The East Coast Garden Parties’ goal is to have “East meets West” in a Kitchen style party. All of those who grew up in the East will recognize this as a Good Time, Good Friends, Good Music, and Good Food, usually happening in the kitchen!
The East Coast Garden Party speaks to most as the undeniable best party in Alberta. We all know that the best parties just happen, and in Newfoundland and Labrador, this usually happens in the kitchen and if too many friends show up then it gets moved to the outside, hence the Garden. We try to add elements of the East by bringing in fresh seafood, having the kids entertained at the kid’s zone and what outdoor party would not be complete without a beer garden!
The Music
We strive to have a variety of entertainment that suits everyone’s enjoyment from Classic Rock, enjoying the sound of bands like Nazareth, Glass Tiger, April Wine, Streetheart, along with some newer sounds from the Arkells, Theory of a Deadman, Finger Eleven and more. Some toe tappin Celtic music and performers from the East, such as Jimmy Rankin, George Canyon, Irish Descendants, St. James Gate, and the infamous Derina Harvey Band.
